Call Park

The call park feature allows a call to be put on hold and have the call retrieved from another phone. If nobody retrieves a parked call within a timeout period, the call is automatically sent back to the phone that parked the call.

To Park an active call

Phone Type Steps Notes
All phones 1. Invoke Blind Transfer by dialing ## followed by the Call Park extension number 70.
2. The parking lot position is announced.
3. The call is now parked.
The Call Park extension number 70 can be changed by the system administrator.
Nortel phones with Feature key 1. Press the Feature key followed by the feature code 74.
2. The parking lot position is announced.
3. The call is now parked.
 
Nortel phones with Park key 1. Press the Park key.
2. The parking lot position is announced.
3. The call is now parked.
 

To Park an active call to a specific Parking Lot

This capability is available from Release 6.0 and up.

Phone Type Steps Notes
All phones 1. Invoke Blind Transfer by dialing ##  followed by the parking lot position.
2. Call is now parked at the specified parking lot position.
The parking lot positions are configured by the system administrator.
Nortel phones with BLF key monitoring parking lot 1. Press the BLF key.
2. Call is now parked at the parking lot position of the BLF key.
 
If the parking lot position already has a call parked, any attempt to park a second call to the same slot will result in the call being parked in the next available slot.

To Retrieve a Parked call

Phone Type Steps Notes
All phones 1. Dial the parking lot position. You can retrieve the call from any phone on the system.

To Retrieve the oldest Parked call

Phone Type Steps Notes
All phones 1. Dial *86. You can retrieve the call from any phone on the system.
