Configure Provisioning Server

The UCX system by default is configured with a TFTP server that can be used for phone provisioning. Please see Provisioning Server page for details.

If you have a FTP/TFTP server on your network that provides configuration files and/or firmware updates for IP phones, you can provide this information to IP phones using the DHCP server's Option 66. If the DHCP Option 66 is enabled, IP phones retrieve the provisioning server's IP address automatically together with LAN configuration data.

If you have a FTP/TFTP server on your network that provides configuration files and/or firmware updates for IP phones but your DHCP server is not configured to use Option 66, configure each phone manually with the IP address of the provisioning server (refer to your phone documentation for information how to configure the provisioning server).
