Configuring the Outbound Route to Main Office on the SRG System

To route calls received by the UCX SRG server from PSTN trunks to phones registered in the Normal mode with the main office call server (or for calls from phones in Local mode or with the Always Local configuration to phones registered in the Normal mode), you must configure an outbound route that uses the SIP trunk to the main office call server.

To add an outbound route on the UCX SRG to direct calls to the main office call server, perform the following steps:

  1. Open the UCX Web-based Configuration Utility
  2. From the PBX tab, select PBX Configuration
  3. From the left side column, select Outbound Routes
  4. On the Add Route page, enter a name for the route in the Route Name field
  5. In the Dial Patterns section, define a dial pattern with the Main Office Route Prefix you configured earlier in the prefix field (the defualt entry is 1000) and a period on the match pattern field (the third field)
  6. Select the SIP trunk to the main office call server you configured earlier (in the IP Trunk Assistant) in the Trunk Sequence for Matched Routes section
  7. Press the Submit Changes button to save the outbound route
