Infinity 5010 Xstim

Introduction

The Infinity 5010 Xstim IP Phone supports up to 10 programmable line/key buttons and is optimized for executive use or major decision makers who need more programmable buttons.​ Programmable buttons can be configured with UCx features like BLF, Auto-Dial, Intercom, Call Pickup, and many other features.​

The phone can also support up to 5 expansion modules, each module supporting an additional 20 keys. (See Infinity 5046 for details.)

The 5010 features a high-resolution 480 x 272 pixels 4.3" TFT-LCD display and HD quality audio.​

Installation

If instaling the 5010 phone with 5046 expansion module, install and configure the main 5010 phone and have it working first before connecting the 5046 expansion module.

STEP ONE: Attach the phone stand

STEP THREE: Connect to the network and power

The Infinity 5010 phone is PoE enabled. The power adapter is extra and not included.

UCx Configuration

STEP ONE: Configure XSTIM Extension on the UCx Server

  1. Login to the UCx Web-based Configuration Utility.
  2. Navigate to PBX PBX Configuration - Extensions page.
  3. Add an XSTIM Device with the following basic parameters:
    • User Extension (e.g. 524)
    • Display Name
    • MAC Address set to 0
  4. Click on Submit to create the XSTIM extension.
  5. Select the new extension from the list of extensions located on the top right corner.
  6. Click on Edit XSTIM Properties link.
  7. In the Device type field, select 5010 from the drop-down list.
  8. Select the Number of Lines from the drop-down list.
  9. If the extension has expansion modules, under Module Type, select 5046 Expansion Module followed by the Number of Modules.
  10. Under Programmable Keys section, configure the desired keys.
  11. Press the Submit Changes button.
  12. Press the Apply Config bar at the top.

STEP TWO: Enable Set Based Configuration

The UCx Set Based Configuration feature provides the ability to associate physical XSTIM phones with UCX extensions.

  1. Login to the UCx Web-based Configuration Utility.
  2. Navigate to PBX PBX Configuration XSTIM Settings page.
  3. Configure Set Based Configuration field to Enabled.
  4. Enter the Set Based Configuration Password (or use the default 82950) .
  5. Press the Submit Changes button.
  6. Press the Apply Config bar at the top.

Cloud Provisioning

E-MetroTel's No-Touch Cloud XSTIM phone provisioning allows customers to activate and pre-configure XSTIM phones using a new Cloud Phone Provisioning Tool located on the E-MetroTel Partner Portal web site. Plug-in the phones into the LAN with internet access and the phones will retrieve their respective configuration files from the E-MetroTel Cloud repository servers.

Phone Provisioning

If Cloud provisioning is used, skip the first two steps and proceed to STEP THREE.

STEP ONE: Access the 5010 phone menu

Connect the PoE enabled 5010 phone to the network and power up the phone.
The next step is to access the phone's configuration menu (XSTIM - Phone Menu). There are 3 methods:

Method 1 - During bootup

  1. Observe the phone's bootup process and wait for the E-MetroTel logo.
  2. When you see the E-MetroTel logo displayed on the LCD screen, you have 5 seconds to press the 4 softkeys from left to right in sequence. ((located just under the LCD screen)
  3. When prompted for the password, enter the default password admin (2-3-6-444-66) or 363870835 (press 2nd softkey to change input mode to 123) followed by the Enter softkey.

Method 2 - Unconfigured phone

This method is applicable only when the server information on the phone is empty. This would typically apply to a brand new phone.

  1. When the phone has completed its bootup process and the server information is empty, you will see the following message on the screen.
  2. Press the Configure softkey.
  3. When prompted for the password, enter the default password admin (2-3-6-444-66) or 363870835 (press 2nd softkey to change input mode to 123) followed by the Enter softkey.

Method 3: Conference button

This method can be used anytime when the phone is in the idle state.

  1. Double press the Conference button and you are prompted for the password. The Conference button is located on the top left of the keypad.
  2. When prompted for the password, enter the default password admin (2-3-6-444-66) or 363870835 (press 2nd softkey to change input mode to 123) followed by the Enter softkey.

STEP TWO: Configure Server Info

Once you have successfully entered the phone menu, you can now proceed with the following.

IP Address

To obtain the IP address of the phone, proceed to the STATUS submenu.
Here you can discover information related to the phone like: Phone model, IP address, MAC address, Firmware loads etc.

Take note of the IP address as you will need the IP address to access the phone's web interface.

Server Info

Navigate to the SERVER submenu. Configure the following:

  • S1 IP = IP address of the UCX Server (default is 192.168.1.200)
  • S1 Port = Port number for XSTIM phones (default is 7000)

Press the Save button and exit the phone menu. The phone will now connect to the configured UCX Server.

STEP THREE: Assign XSTIM Extension

Once the phone is connected to the UCX Server, the following screen is displayed. You can now configure the extension or hotdesk to an extension.

To configure the phone, perform the following steps:

  1. Press the Config softkey.
  2. Enter the Set Based Configuration password (default is 82950) and press the Enter softkey.
  3. Enter the Extension number to be assigned to this phone and press the Enter softkey.
  4. The phone is now configured as a XSTIM extension.
