InfinityOne - Phone Presence and Click to Call

InfinityOne integrates with the UCX call server to allow users to see when someone is on the phone. Additionally, calling another user is as simple as clicking on their phone presence icon and selecting the call option.

To enable a user's phone presence, a phone number must be assigned to the user. The user's phone number is also for the click to call feature.

There are 2 ways to assign a user's phone number (extension):

Method 1: By the Administrator

Add phone number when adding a new user

  1. Under Administration -> Users, click the Add User  icon
  2. Click the  button in the Phone Numbers box
  3. Select the desired Label type
  4. Start typing an extension in the Number field
  5. Select the desired number by continuing to type the number, using the up and down arrow keys on your keyboard, or using your mouse, and then pressing the Enter key, or the Tab key, or clicking on the desired number. If the desired number is not visible in the list, continue typing the extension until the number becomes visible.
  6. Click the Save button after all the fields have been completed for the new user.

Add phone number for an existing user

  1. Under Administration -> Users, click on an existing user
  2. Click on the EDIT button
  3. Follow the instructions under Method 1 above to add a phone number
  4. Click on the SAVE button

Method 2: By the User

Before a user can add their phone number, the extension must be authorized by an administrator.

The steps to authorize an extension is very similar to assigning phone numbers as in Method 1.
Instead of adding Phone Numbers, just assign the numbers to the Allowed Extensions field.

  1. Follow the steps as in Method 1 to add a new user or edit an existing user.
  2. Start typing an extension in the Allowed Extensions -> Search Extensions box
  3. Select the desired extension with one of the following methods:
    • Continue typing the extension until its visible in the search results. Click on the desired extension.
    • Continue typing the extension until its visible and use the up down keys on the keyboard to select the desired extension.
    • Press the Enter or Tab key on the keyboard to select the highlighted extension.
  4. Repeat the process to add additional extensions if desired.
  5. Click the X beside a selected extension to remove it
  6. Click SAVE to save the selections.

After authorizing the list of extensions for the user, the user can then follow instructions in the Quick Start Guide to assign their own extensions.
