MG - Overview
UCx MDSE (Meridian Digital Set Emulator) component supports the integration of Nortel Meridian Taurus M3902/M3903/M3904, Aries 2006/2008/2616 digital phones and analog phones into the UCx server. There are certain configuration settings required in the Media Gateway Controller (MGC) card and in the UCx server.
With this integration, the features supported on the phones include:
- Call Forward
- Call Transfer
- Voice Mail functions
- Last Number Redial
- Busy Lamp Field (BLF)
- and many more ...
The generic term MGC is used to include both MGC and MGXPEC. Where there is a difference between the MGC and MGXPEC, it will be described.
