Ring Again (Call Back)

This feature is available to internal E-MetroTel (XStim and InfinityOne) and Nortel phones only.

When you call an internal Nortel extension and the extension is busy or does not answer, you can invoke the Ring Again (Call Back) feature. When the extension monitored by the Ring Again feature becomes available, you will be notified.

If Ring Again is activated when the dialed extension is busy, you will be notified when the extension becomes idle.
If Ring Again is activated when the dialed extension does not answer, you will be notified when there is activity on the phone and the phone becomes idle.

To activate Ring Again

Phone Type Steps Notes
Nortel phones with soft keys 1. Press the RngAgn softkey.
2. You will receive notification when the extension is available.
3. The notification will prompt you to call back the extension, respond Yes to call back immediately or No to cancel.
 
Nortel phones with Feature key 1. Press the Feature key and enter the feature code 2.
2. You will receive notification when the extension is available.
3. The notification will prompt you to call back the extension, respond Yes to call back immediately or No to cancel.
Prior to notification, you can deactivate Ring Again by pressing the Feature key followed by the feature code #2.
Nortel phones with programmed RingAgain key 1. Press the programmed RingAgain key.
2. You will receive notification when the extension is available.
3. The notification will prompt you to call back the extension, respond Yes to call back immediately or No to cancel.
