XSTIM - Incoming Calls
Internal Auto Answer
When Internal Auto Answer is set to Intercom, all calls from internal extensions will behave as intercom calls (i.e. auto-answered). All external calls or calls under certain circumstances (e.g. Blind Transfer and Follow Me) will behave as a normal call.
Blacklist
To blacklist a number:
- Dial *30 .
- Enter the number to be blacklisted.
- Press 1 to confirm.
To remove a number from the blacklist:
- Dial *31 .
- Enter the number to be removed from the blacklist.
- Press 1 to confirm.
To blacklist the last caller:
- Dial *32 .
- Press 1 to confirm.
Call Flow Control
A BLF key can be configured to toggle and monitor the Call Flow Control states.
To toggle the call flow control ON/OFF:
- Press the BLF key.
- The call flow override state will be announced.
Configure programmable BLF CFC key
The following configuration changes are performed by the UCx administrator.
- From the UCx Web-based configuration utility, navigate to PBX -> PBX Configuration -> Extensions (Nortel) page.
- Select the extension from the list located at the top right corner of the page.
- Scroll down to the Programmable Keys section.

Choose the feature Other from the drop-down list of the desired line key. Enter the Call Flow Toggle feature code in the Label and Digits fields.
- Click the Submit Changes button followed by the Apply Config bar.
Directed Call Pickup
Directed Call Pickup allows you to pick up a call at a specific extension.
Using Star code

Dial ** followed by the EXTENSION number that is ringing.
Using Feature key
- Press the Feature key followed by the feature code 76.
- Enter the EXTENSION number that is ringing followed by the # sign or the Enter softkey.
Using programmed DNPickup key
- Press the programmed DNPickup key.
- Enter the EXTENSION number that is ringing followed by the # sign or the Enter softkey.
Configure programmable Directed Pickup key
The following configuration changes are performed by the UCx administrator.
- From the UCx Web-based configuration utility, navigate to PBX -> PBX Configuration -> Extensions (Nortel) page.
- Select the extension from the list located at the top right corner of the page.
- Scroll down to the Programmable Keys section.

Choose the feature Directed Pickup from the drop-down list of the desired line key.
- Click the Submit Changes button followed by the Apply Config bar.
Group Pickup
Group Call Pickup allows you to pick up a call that belongs to a group.
Using Star code
- Dial *8 followed by the EXTENSION number that is ringing.
- Call ringing at another extension in your pickup group is picked up.
Using Feature key
- Press the Feature key followed by the feature code 75.
- Call ringing at another extension in your pickup group is picked up.
Using programmed Pickup key
- Press the programmed Pickup key.
- Call ringing at another extension in your pickup group is picked up.
Configure programmable Pickup key
The following configuration changes are performed by the UCx administrator.
- From the UCx Web-based configuration utility, navigate to PBX -> PBX Configuration -> Extensions (Nortel) page.
- Select the extension from the list located at the top right corner of the page.
- Scroll down to the Programmable Keys section.

Choose the feature Group Pickup from the drop-down list of the desired line key.
- Click the Submit Changes button followed by the Apply Config bar.
BLF Pickup
To pickup a call alerting on a BLF key:
- Press the corresponding BLF key when the monitored extension is ringing.
Call Waiting
To use call waiting, your phone must be configured to have 2 or more line keys. When you have 2 or more line keys and call waiting is enabled, you will receive additional incoming calls until there is no free line key.
When call waiting is disabled, you will not receive incoming calls if you have a call on at least one of the line keys - additional free line keys can be used only to make outgoing calls.
To answer a call waiting on another line:
- Press the Line key of the new incoming call.
- The current line will be placed on hold and call will be connected to the line of the new incoming call.
- Toggle between the calls by pressing the corresponding Line keys.
Do Not Disturb (Make Set Busy)
Using Star code
- Dial *76 to toggle the feature ON and OFF.
OR
- Dial *78 to turn ON and *79 to turn OFF.
Using Feature key
- Press the Feature key followed by the feature code 85 to turn ON.
- Press the Feature key followed by the feature code #85 to turn OFF.
Using DND/MSB soft key
- Press the DND/MSB soft key to turn ON.
- Press the DND/MSB soft key again to turn OFF.
Call Forward
There are several types of call forward:
- Call Forward Unconditional will forward all calls.
- Call Forward Busy will forward calls when you are busy on the line.
- Call Forward Unavailable will forward calls when you do not answer an incoming call after the specified number of rings.
Call Forward Unconditional
Using Star code
- To activate, dial *72 and enter the target number followed by the # key.
- To deactivate, dial *73 .
Using Forward soft key
- To activate, press the Forward soft key, enter the target number and then press the Forward soft key again.
- To deactivate, press the NoForwd soft key.
Call Forward Busy
Using Star code
- To activate, dial *90 and enter the target number followed by the # key.
- To deactivate, dial *91 .
Call Forward Unavailable
Using Star code
- To activate, dial *52 and enter the target number followed by the # key.
- To deactivate, dial *53 .
Call Forward to Voicemail
Using Star code
- To activate, dial *72 and enter the target number: #* + voicemail box number.
- To deactivate, dial *73 .
Using Feature key
- To activate, press the Feature key followed by feature code 984.
- To deactivate, press the Feature key followed by feature code #4.
Remote Call Forward
Remote Call Forward Unconditional
- From another local phone, dial *720.
- If calling from an external phone, dial your DISA number followed by the PIN code. When dial tone is presented, dial *720.
- Enter your EXTENSION number when prompted.
- Enter the destination number.
- To deactivate Call Forward All, dial *73 + EXTENSION.
- To deactivate all types of call forwarding, dial *74 .
Remote Call Forward Busy
- From another local phone, dial *910.
- If calling from an external phone, dial your DISA number followed by the PIN code. When dial tone is presented, dial *910.
- Enter your EXTENSION number when prompted.
- Enter the destination number.
- To deactivate Call Forward Busy, dial *91 + EXTENSION.
- To deactivate all types of call forwarding, dial *74 .
Remote Call Forward No Answer
- From another local phone, dial *520.
- If calling from an external phone, dial your DISA number followed by the PIN code. When dial tone is presented, dial *520.
- Enter your EXTENSION number when prompted.
- Enter the destination number.
- To deactivate Call Forward No Answer dial *53 + EXTENSION.
- To deactivate all types of call forwarding, dial *74 .
