Packages

To add a new software package from the on-line repository, perform the following steps:

  1. Open the UCx Web-based Configuration Utility
  2. From the System tab, select Updates.
  3. From the left side column, select Packages (displaying the list of packages may take several seconds)
  4. Press the Repositories Update button to retrieve the latest information about packages available for your UCx product. Note that the time for this update will depend on the speed of your Internet connection and the number of updates that are available.
  5. Press the Show Filter button to display the Name and  Status fields.
  6. In the Name field, enter a partial name of the package you want to install (e.g., asterisk-sounds).
  7. Set the Filter Status to All.  A list of matching packages will be presented in the Packages panel.
  8. Locate the package you want to install and then press the Install link in the Status column to initiate the installation.
  9. Wait until the installation is completed.
You should remove or install software packages only if instructed to do so by E-MetroTel support personnel! Installation, removal or update of a software package can take certain amount of time. Wait for the operation to complete.

  9. Wait until the procedure is completed.
