This feature is used to test the functionality of a button on a phone. It can also be used to determine the mapping of the key on the phone to the key number for programming.

This feature is available to E-MetroTel XStim and InfinityOne phones and Nortel phones only.

To test the functionality of a button

Phone Type Steps Notes
E-MetroTel (XStim or InfinintyOne) or  Nortel phone with Feature key

1. Press the Feature key followed by the feature code 805.
2. Press the button you want to test.

E-MetroTel (XStim or InfinintyOne) or  Nortel phone with Services key 1. When idle, press the Services key and use the navigation keys to scroll down to Test Set.
2. Invoke the feature.
3. Press the button you want to test.
