Hospitality Overview

The E-MetroTel solution not only supports analog, digital, and SIP devices, but also an amazing browser-based WebRTC client. This means that your guests and staff can access our powerful hospitality and telephony features from their own laptop, tablet, or mobile device. And there is no software to download, just a simple log in and they are connected.

Property Management Systems Compatibility

We support Property Management Systems that can use either the Mitel or Fidelio interfaces.

This functionality is not supported on the Galaxy Mini hardware platform.



The UCx Hospitality application is a UCx licensed add-on that can be purchased from an authorized E-MetroTel reseller.

Install Hospitality (HP) License

  1. Open the UCx Web-based Configuration Utility
  2. From the System tab, select Licenses
  3. From the left side column, select Enter License
  4. Copy the entire license string provided by E-MetroTel in the License String field and press the Save button to activate the license

Hospitality Software Package

From Release 6.0 and up, the ucx-hospitality package is already installed. For earlier releases, follow the steps below to install the package.

  1. From the System tab, select Updates
  2. From the left side column, select Packages
  3. Click on Show Filter under name field enter hosp
  4. Under Status pull-down, select All
  5. Locate the ucx-hospitality package and click on the Install link in the Status column

Wake UP Calls

The Wake Up Calls feature code *68  can be used to schedule a wake up from a user extension:

  • Dial *68 and you will be prompted to enter the time in 4 digits
  • Enter the desired time in 12 hour or 24 hour format
  • If the time entered is less than 1300, then you will be prompted to press "1" for AM and "2" for PM
  • If the time entered is 1300 or more, then the time is accepted in 24 hour format
  • Wait and you will receive a confirmation, then hangup

To delete a scheduled call, perform the following steps:

  • Dial *68 and you will be prompted to press "1" to add a new call or "2" to cancel the existing call

Snooze Options

At the scheduled time of the wake call, the system will place a call to the designated number. When you pick up the call, the system will provide you with several snooze options:

  • Press 1 to cancel
  • Press 2 to snooze for 5 minutes
  • Press 3 to snooze for 10 minutes
  • Press 4 to snooze for 15 minutes

If you simply hang up, no more calls will be placed.
