Pete's Market
Pete’s Fresh Market started in Chicago in the 1970’s as a small full-service produce stand. Over the last 50 years the company has grown to 16 stores (20+ stores soon) serving customers across Chicagoland. Throughout the years the company has stayed true to its core values of providing the freshest products at an honest price. And to help maintain their values the company relies heavily on their telecommunications solution.
In 2018 company managers made the decision to replace their old in-house Nortel and Panasonic phones systems, and decided to go with a cloud based-communications service for flexibility and to eliminate hardware at each location. In the end E-MetroTel was the clear winner.
Pete’s Market uses numerous E-MetroTel devices and applications including – Infinity 5000 XSTIM telephones, InfinityOne, Scheduled Announcement, and DSM16 devices. Since implementation the company has enjoyed substantial cost savings, better voice quality, Work at Home capability, and Remote Management capability.

Canadian Tire Corporation is a household name in Canada, being part of communities from coast-to coast for over ninety years. With over 490 retail locations and a robust online community we provide unmatched products and services to our customers.
Canadian Tire is facing the challenge of aging communications equipment in their stores, needing to evolve to meet the modern day needs of the retail environment. Mobility is a key driver for change. The implementation of SIP-based Wi-Fi phones was fundamental to improved productivity within the store. The Scarborough Canadian Tire had an aging Nortel key system. As with most retail environments, budgets are very tight and we needed to squeeze the absolute most out of a limited budget and repurpose equipment where possible.
With the E-MetroTel Galaxy 250 solution recommended by our trusted partner Braitech ICT Solutions, we could retain all our Nortel digital phones and avoid having to re-cable the entire store in the process. In addition, the solution included all the new capabilities of the latest technology such as voicemail to email, call routing options for various ring groups as well as follow me calling and remote phones just to name a few.
Because the E-MetroTel UCX software running on the Galaxy 250 carries forward the features of the Nortel key systems, we had minimal retraining requirements of our staff which was extremely beneficial considering our large part time group of employees.
The absolute best part of the E-MetroTel Galaxy 250 and UCX software solution was that we didn’t have to dispose of any of the solid reliable Nortel phones which resulted in huge cost savings. Toys R Us
Toys R Us was in need of an overhaul to the aging Nortel voice systems. We replaced our CS1000 at head office with the feature-rich and economical UCX1000 Unified Communication system and with UCX50 systems at our stores across the country. Using the built-in Scheduled Announcement application we have streamlined activities in our warehouse and the E-MetroTel WiFi SIP phones help keep Toys R Us staff in constant communication while serving customers throughout the stores. We are very impressed with how reliable and easy the UCX solution is to operate and intend to have all remaining stores operating on the UCX before long. Best of all, the latest UC applications help improve the customer shopping experience and increase employee productivity while cutting our communication costs in half.
