How it works

The brains are in the server.

The XSTIM protocol allows the UCX server to dictate everything that happens on the endpoint. This allows complex, sophisticated features to be developed centrally on the server.

XSTIM accounts for every key press by a user, every button lit and everything displayed on the device screen. With XSTIM, the server maintains control of the user interface of each of the devices and therefore the feature interactions for complete system-wide consistency, regardless of how many buttons, headsets, or the display size of each device.

New feature deployments no longer rely on having software updated on each user device before everyone can start using them, simplifying system-wide updates. Call setup is directly managed by the server, lowering the overall signaling bandwidth utilization.
In fact, XSTIM does not rely on the use of STUN servers or complex ALG algorithms to manage NAT Traversal simplifying remote device deployment.

Thin Clients

Devices are always current with XSTIM

All devices have access to any updated features even if they were not connected at the time the server was updated. This is because the software driving the XSTIM features resides on the server not on the devices. So when a device connects after an update it has access to the new features.

Additionally our solutions support conference bridges with the number of participants limited by your available trunks.
